Please restrict this thread for sharing authentic hadith only. Sayings of great imams or sahaba are definitely beneficial, but let's post them in another thread and not mix them with the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) inshaAllah.

The believer remains free from the extremes of happiness that cause one to forget Allaah and the extremes of sadness that causes the ignorant to lose hope and blame Allaah. Consequently, both the trials of good and the tests of evil benefit the believer. Suhayb ibn Sinaan related that the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “The affair of the believer is amazing! The whole of his life is beneficial, and that is only in the case of the believer. When good times come to him, he is thankful and it is good for him, and when bad times befall him, he is patient and it is also good for him.” Sahih Muslim, vol.4, p.1541, no.7138.
This is the state of one who has truly accepted Allaah’s destiny.

The Prophet PBUH said, "Beware! Avoid sitting on the roads (ways)."

The people said, "There is no way out of it as these are our sitting places where we have talks."

The Prophet PBUH said , "If you must sit there, then observe the rights of the way."

They asked, "What are the rights of the way?"

The Prophet PBUH said, "They are the lowering of your gazes (on seeing what is illegal to look at), refraining from harming people, returning greetings, advocating good and forbidding evil."

[Bukhari, Vol 3, B 43, Number 645: Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri

The Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa salam) said:

“Allah will take the whole earth (in His Hand) and will roll up the Heaven in His right Hand, and then He will say, “I am King! Where are the kings of the earth?

— Narrated Abu Hurayrah [Sahih Bukhari-Volume 8, Book 76, Number 526]

The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace stated:

“The first thing one will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer.”

(Sunan Abu Dawud, al Nasa’i:Kitab al Salah Bab al Muhasabati `ala al Salat #469-471; Al Hakim also narrated it and said it is sahih)

This is a reminder for myself first, and Allah knows best.

The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) indicated this in his saying: "When you ask, then ask Allaah and when you seek help, then seek help from Allaah alone. " [Hasan Sahih – Tirmidhi]--If Allaah touches you with harm, none can remove it except Him." [6:17]
